Close to home and just taken for granted is the beautiful Jasper Park. It is right in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

This beautiful bull elk is eating wild shrubs.
Soon he will be depending on stored energy to tide him through mating season till spring.

An interesting thing about mountain water is that it is blue/turquoise. The color comes from rock particals ground up by glaciers high up the mountain.
