Art and Lindas Online Pigeon Loft

This web site is dedicated to the breeding of pigeons. In it I will share my roller pigeon experience and a little on genetics. One of the interesting projects that I am working on is a reference catalogue of baby pigeons and what they grow up to be. It is here. This is interesting and I have found out some unexpected results. I will have thumbnails to the various pages.

I have built a pigeon loft and have made some plans for it with a few pictures to help. It is a very affordable and could be built in a weekend or so. It would be suitable for 10pair of rollers and some of their young. It has two kit boxes that are built right in. The ventilation is very good and things remain quite dry. Here is the plans for the loft

Here are some pics of a young fellow, the only to have ever went out over my shoulder into the wild never to be seen again. He did not molt the same as his baby feathers.

This was an interesting bird, it lost it's color as it molted

This is an unusual color. It is closely related to the above squeaker. My best guess it was dominate opal, however the color appeared in my loft.

Following are some photos of some of my birds

Above is an awesome bird a little slow to start as a baby,
but as a 1 year old she would do very consistent rolls.
